Creating a Menu
If you want to look up nutritional information for any item, just touch the item with your finger and watch a checkmark appear to the right of the product name. In order to deselect an item, tap the same item again and the checkmark will disappear.
Upon completing your product selection across all categories, press the “Calculate” button in the top Navigation bar.
A complete list of your selected products will appear. Each item is measured in its appropriate quantity unit - grams/oz, units, table spoon (tbsp) or cups. Feel free to adjust the portion size of any item by placing your finger on the image and moving the slider control from left to right. Watch the calorie and nutritional information change dynamically for each item as well as the grand total “on the fly”.
If you want to add another item, it is possible to go back to any category and add to your existing selection. In order to remove a product from the list, the user has to move the slider to the very left for the quantity to be 0. In this case, the amount of calories and nutrition becomes 0 for the product and will not count towards the grand total. This item will not be saved as part of the menu.
If you want to discard the current selection, click on the “Back to Main Menu” -> “Clear Product Selection” button. Otherwise, the application will remember your current selection until the “Clear Product Selection” button is pressed OR you exit the application.
